Asseco Solutions

The public first learned about the existence of the Asseco Solutions group on 19 February 2009 when a dual merger on the European ICT market was announced on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. There was a merger of two significant suppliers of ERP systems, i.e. the Slovak Datalock and the Czech LCS International, now using the new name - Asseco Solutions. At the same time there was a merger of their parent companies Asseco Slovakia and Asseco Czech Republic which formed the group - Asseco Central Europe. Both mergers took effect on 1 July of the same year. Since then there have been two very strong subjects on the European market of business software applications which offer an exceptionally wide portfolio of products and services and have the support of the influential international ICT group – the ASSECO GROUP.

The ASSECO group

The ASSECO group was established at the end of 2004 when Asseco Slovakia and Asseco Poland agreed to become strategic partners. Both companies were motivated especially by the fact that there had been an ongoing trend in the globalization of the IT market and that it had been increasingly difficult for small local companies to compete against large multinational suppliers of IT services while trying to obtain new customers. The Asseco group is growing due to the fact that it is building new strong national companies and at the same time widening the portfolio of its services by means of the takeovers of successful companies on the domestic and foreign markets. Thus a synergy effect is reached on the sales, financial and technological level, both inside the strong national companies and within the whole group. The ambition of the group is to become a reliable and competitive software centre which will be providing comprehensive ICT services in Central and Eastern Europe. At the same time it would like to become a group of advanced ICT companies focused on the local market with a federal structure and enhanced local specifics.
