2010: Asseco Solutions Successful in both the Czech and Slovak Republic | 28. 03. 2011

The year 2010 was already the second one in which operating results are posted by Asseco Solutions, and this both as the whole and independently its Czech and Slovak part. This year confirmed the fact that a great potential lies in the merger of two successful companies. This fact results in almost doubling the net profit from CZK 33.041.000,- to CZK 61.259.000,-, whereas the turnover decreased.

Similarly to the previous period were the 2010 operating results in both the countries predominantly influenced by the segment of medium-sized companies. Nevertheless the products for large-scale companies brought high revenues too. This corresponds to the yearly research by the Center for the Research of Information Systems (Centrum pro výzkum informačních systémů, CVIS), which shows that the products by Asseco Solutions are continually the leaders of the ERP market. The positive result of last year was naturally supported by other products of the broad Asseco Solutions portfolio too. This is e.g. the case of the systems for the public service, which came to the Czech Republic in January 2010 by the transfer of a part of the company from the mother company Asseco Central Europe. The systems for accommodation and catering facilities, which, after the merger, started to be massively sold beside the Slovak Republic also in the Czech Republic, brought a significant contribution too.

 „During 2010 stagnation was apparent throughout the economy. This also showed by a decrease in the demand for new licences,” says Stanislav Sýkora, Asseco Solutions CR (Czech Republic) General Director, and adds: „Nevertheless the last quarter of the last year already signaled an increase in demand and the end of the year was eventually very successful. Therefore we succeeded in changing the previous decreasing trend and in achieving good results.”

 „The year 2010 bore the sign of development. It became clear that the intent to link the potential of Czech and Slovak specialists, with whom we executed the merger of the original companies two years ago, was positive and definitely capable of contributing,” states Peter Lang, Asseco Solutions Slovensko (Slovakia) General Director.

 In 2010 the entity of Asseco Solutions reached the revenues in both the countries in the amount of CZK 648 million. In this period it acquired 561 new customers. However, the main financial contribution came from the pool of existing customers. The year 2010 also meant a stable staff to Asseco Solutions.
