HELIOS Easy Supports Selling and Servicing Office Equipment | 25. 11. 2011

Servicing and selling office equipment and computing technology and administering computer networks – these are the core (but not the only) activities of one of the very first clients of the relatively new HELIOS Easy product by Asseco Solutions.

The system has been running at the company Embex for approximately half a year. Prior to its implementation the staff and the management had been using a simpler information system and simultaneously an accounting system in a DOS version. In the course of time this setup came to lag behind the needs of the company. The originally utilized systems were actually a set of several databases, which functioned independently of each other, data had to be input separately and repeatedly. Such work was slow, inefficient and unnecessarily complicated. Therefore the management also decided to unify all the databases into one functional system.

A selection procedure to procure a new and comprehensive information system was declared. “The purchase of the system HELIOS Easy was selected on the basis of comparing the references of a few competitive products, from which HELIOS Easy showed the best price/functionality/quality ratio. Moreover the functionality and possibilities of the system exactly corresponded to our needs,” says Martin Bulla, Embex Legal Executive, and he adds: “A certain role was also played by the recommendation of the Redenge solutions Legal Executive.”

First of all Embex obtained a free version to be tested. Several meetings, negotiations, trainings and consulting sessions with Redenge representatives followed – this company implemented HELIOS Easy at Embex. Afterwards Embex staff was trained with the focus on the possibilities of the systems and on making the work with it more comfortable and efficient.

Although the system is already running in the regular operation at Embex, the implementation has not been fully completed. “We are continually tuning the system according to our current needs,” explains Martin Bulla. “We are still finding what HELIOS is capable of and what could be convenient for us.”

Where does Mr Bulla see the benefits of the new system? “As I have already mentioned, the principal benefit consists above all in unifying all the applications into a single and comprehensive system. It is enough to input the data once and the system files them where necessary. This makes our work significantly easier, faster and better-arranged.”

At Embex HELIOS Easy is implemented with basic modules and functionalities, supporting the corporate activities, which are adapted to the local service. Only a few forms related to the service have been custom-made.
