Basic Technical Description

The Helios Orange ERP information system application is intended to be run in the Microsoft system environment.

System environment recommended for the operation of the ERP information system

• Recommended desktop operation system (PC user ’s operation system) is MS Windows XP Professional, MS Vista.
• Recommended operation system of the server is MS Windows Server 2003, or MS Windows XP Professional (for less than 5 users).
• Recommended database server is MS SQL Server 2005, and MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition for mono-installation.
• MS Internet Explorer 6.0 (or a newer version)
• Installed current service pack for the selected operation system and MS SQL Server

Minimum Configuration

The requirements are stated only in respect of the type of the operation system used, MS SQL database server and the Helios Orange ERP information system.

Other applications run on the station or the server (except for MS Office on the station), which increase the hardware requirements, are not taken into account.

The same applies to the size of the Helios Orange database (to be assessed individually), which can considerably influence the server hardware requirements, especially the operation memory size (to run MS SQL 2005 Server, Microsoft recommends the same memory size as the size of the database used).

Mono-installation

The system installed only on one single PC and started only on this PC.

Note: If the expected database size exceeds 1GB, it is necessary to increase the memory size to a minimum of 1 GB/1,5 GB (depending on the database size - we recommend consulting the issue with LCS International, a.s.)

Also, if the expected number of users exceeds 10, we recommend consulting the server configuration with LCS International, a.s.
